Linda Scott
Manager of Nursing Services

Linda attended East Carolina College for two years and then completed a three-year Registered Nursing (R.N.) program at the Watts Hospital School of Nursing. Linda has worked at the Durham Women’s Clinic as a staff nurse and manager for 27 years.

Jennifer Foushee
Assistant Nurse Manager

Jennifer is a graduate from Watts School of Licensed Practical Nursing (LPN) and has completed courses in Advanced Pharmacology at Durham Technical Institution. Jennifer has been employed at the Durham Women's Clinic since 1980 and has provided primary nursing support to Dr. Pearce for over 22 years. She is presently staffing the advice / triage nurse phone line on a full time basis.

Cindy Womble
Office Manager

Cindy has worked with the Women's Health Alliance for over 3 years; however, she has been employed by the Durham Women's Clinic since March 2003. Cindy has over 10 years experience in the medical billing field. She passed rigorous testing in April 2003 to become a Certified Professional Coder (CPC). Cindy is now working on a two-year degree program through Durham Technical Community College to become a Register Health Information Technologist (RHIT).

Kristi Smith
Assistant Business Office Manager

Kristi has shared her bright smile and cheerful disposition at Durham Women's Clinic since 1995. In 2004, she attended Vance Granville Community College where she received her CNA. She is also certified in laser hair removal and is currently in training to demonstrate her know-how in the laser hair removal services offered by the clinic. Kristi has been happily married to her husband for 15 years.

As part of this specialty, we treat all age groups, from pre-adolescent girls to post-menopausal women.

As part of this specialty, we treat all age groups, from pre-adolescent girls to post-menopausal women. In spite of the fact that obstetrics and gynecology is technically a specific medicine, it has in recent years become known as a "primary care specialty", which means that many women consider their obstetrician/gynecologist as their main doctor. Thus, if problems occur that are outside our particular range of care, we will work closely with internists, psychiatrists, general surgeons, etc. to provide appropriate treatment and consultation for you. In such cases we actively pursue any follow-up care that is necessary. We also place particular emphasis on preventative medicine, helping you learn better ways to take care of yourself.

Our concern is your good health, which is a product of the interaction among all the systems of your body, not just the reproductive organs. This is why your first visit includes a complete medical history and physical exam. it not only serves to detect associated or unsuspected illnesses but serves as a baseline for future examinations.

A successful women's health care relationship requires mutual understanding, respect, and confidence.
